As my blog’s name references, this blog was originally to have some information on Paladin healing in addition to Druid healing. I got so busy with Ulduar, and all the juicy resto druid topics, that I haven’t had a lot of time to give many paladin tips! So I thought that I would share one now.
As you know, one of the Holy Paladin’s key spells with Wrath of the Lich King is Beacon of Light. One thing that I often had a spot of trouble with when healing with my paladin was making sure that beacon didn’t drop on me mid-heal. If you too have this issue, I would like to recommend Beacon Countdown. It is a really fantastic, lightweight and un-obtrusive mod that provides a countdown and a soft click for you when your beacon (or sacred shield) is about to expire.
I have also set one of my corner text indicators in GRID to provide me with my beacon’s time, but I still find that I prefer the mod as my reminder. I’ve often got so much going on when I’m healing on my paladin that the flash and soft clicks really help me to re-establish my beacon on my target.

flagging this up for when Sapphrina finally gets to 80!
Thanks as always
Sofx
How did you manage to get a timer on beacon of light ?
I onlyy manage to get the name of the spel using only Gridcornertextindicator. Do you use another addon ?
@Markus – Hrmmmm, I’m not sure. It may be one of the modules that I downloaded to track my HoTs with my druid. I’ll look and see if I can figure it out and let you know =)
