Thought I would come back and tell you how things went. I would call it partial success.

We spent roughly an hour with learning who to try to CC( yes try to since CC is more or less a joke ) while burning someone else down.

The most successful tactic for us was the “nuke healers first” and started with the shaman since the EB totems killed us off when trying to run around but couldn’t get away.

Our key was to keep EB totems and Freeze traps in the middle area and when us poor squishies got targeted we kept running through that area to lose them. also, with 2 locks and 4 priests we had aoe fear on constant CD.

Our kill order was Ele Shaman, Holy Priest, Holy Paladin, Shadowpriest, Warlock (insane Hellfire), Mage, Hunter, Rogue, DK, (remaining pets) and Warrior.

I already hate this encounter. /shiver
But hey, maybe it gets easier once ppl are not as much surprised by actually having mobs that doesn’t bother being tanked.

While trying to read up on the encounter before it hits us tonight (EU Realm) I stumbled upon your page.
Read it, gave me some ideas of what to expect (since I am no PTR tester, I like the surprise feeling too much) and I look forward to try this out.

I have used your “this might happen to you” list on my own “tactics and hints” page, I hope that is ok.
