The TLDR version is my love o fthe story path, due to being a pen-and-paper gamer. The Wrath lore feels far more like the progression in a novel or single player game, which happen to be bloody well executed. So well in fact it is basically addictive to see “live”. I’m about 25 wipes in so far on LK, and not giving up.

It gives folks a chance to see some closure to the Lich King storyline no matter what their gold situation is, and I’d imagine just seeing everyone’s responses will be a fun worthwhile process.

While I do love the lore, I don’t think I love it enough to write a post about why I want to kill the Lich King. My most meaningful Lich King kill came when my 10 man group killed him on hard mode. 9 out of the 10 of us were the same group that has been running together since Ulduar, and that is what made the kill special for me. Honing our skills together for over a year and seeing it all capped off by defeating one of the most intense exhilarating fights in the game was a huge rush. I’m grateful I’ve had the opportunity to see the end of the expansion this way. If I wasn’t so lucky, I don’t know that it would be worth it to me to pay or post to get a LK kill for myself.
