For your instructional videos I can see why you would want to turn sound or Vent off, but for me they are essential for capturing the mood of your group and the tension of the encounter. I have Fraps vids from back in BC and once in awhile I love to play them and hear voices from old guildies and it all comes flooding back. I guess I am a bit nostalgic like that. Anyway my point is: consider including Vent sound with the music track. One day you may be glad you kept it.

OMG thank you! I’ve been thinking of getting into the video narration business, and this is great advice. I’ve been using Premiere for all my videos, but I should probably pick up Sony Vegas since it pretty cheap and looks easier. One question: what type of mic do you use to record? Is it just a normal headset (if so, what kind) or one of those stand alone mics?

This is really awesome! I personally use xfire for my video recordings and live streaming. Its very nice to see somebody in the community do a show and tell ^_^
